My name is Ranger and I’m a very sweet, lovable Black Labrador mix.  I am extremely easy going and so very happy.  My foster family has a crate for me but they have never used it.  I can be left alone indoors for hours without incident, unless you consider the relocation of a stuffed animal from one room to another to be a problem.  I don’t chew on them, simply move them to the family room where I sleep mostly when no one is home.  Maybe I just want a little company.    At night I sleep on a dog bed or the floor in the master bedroom.  No getting up in the night, or even early hours for me, unless you’re ready for me to do so.  I rarely bark and if I do, there is a reason for it such as someone coming up to the door.  I don’t even bark when the neighbor’s dogs bark which makes my foster family very happy because one those dogs barks a LOT.
I am fully house trained and you will know when I need to go out because I get a bit excited. At first you may interpret this as me wanting to play but you will quickly learn that it’s time to take me out.  I like for someone to take me outside instead of just opening the door but this has greatly improved since I have gotten more comfortable with my surroundings.  I love going on walks but pull on my leash a bit when I first get going.  I am pretty good with commands but you may have to tell me something twice before I follow it but I have no doubt that I will improve on this with your help.  My only quirk is that I get VERY excited when I get fed.  When I know I’m about to eat, I jump up and down and have a hard time containing myself.  My foster family has been working diligently with me on this.
On a final note, I would like to mention that my foster family includes two teenagers who have friends over quite a bit and they all love me and comment on what a great dog I am!  I get along with everyone and everyone immediately takes a liking to me.  Just try me.
