Walk? Did someone say walk? A slow walk with my foster family twice a day is one of my favorite things to do. I howl with excitement when my foster dad puts my leash on. Toys? I will admit that I am a bit of a collector and like my toys close to me on my dog bed. I was a day away from euthanasia when Allie’s Haven rescued me. I was a really sad dog when my foster family took me in. It took me two weeks to wag my tail. I would hold my head down and not look at anyone. I would not even get up to greet my foster family when they walked in the door. I would just stay curled up in a ball. I was skin and bones and had hairloss. My foster family started telling me that I am a good dog and that I am perfect in every way. They would lay with me, rub my ears and tummy, feed me amazing food, talk to me in the sweetest voices, and they named me Scout. The rescue treated me for heartworms and my itchy skin and boy do I feel great! You should see me now! I’ve gained 15 pounds, my tail wags all the time, I look people and dogs in the eye, and I sooo look forward to greeting my foster family when they come home. They call my name as soon as they walk in the door and here I come! I love to play with my toys by tossing them in the air and pouncing on them. I am learning to play fetch, enjoy laying in the sun with my foster mom rubbing my ears, and I am learning to play with my two foster fur siblings. I have a few scars on my face and ears from being attacked by other dogs in the past, but if you can overlook those, I have a heart of gold. I am a very gentle and kind dog who loves nothing more than TLC. I am 10 years old and will need Adequan injections once a month to keep my hips feeling good. I have an 11 year old boy in the house, and I enjoy laying by him and his friends when they play outside. I am proving to be a very loyal companion and never stray far from my people. I get a little spooked by unfamiliar noises, but am slowly getting better. I am house trained and walk beautifully on a leash. Speaking of leash.....I hear one now! Did someone say walk?
