Tonka is a handsome 3-4yr old Flat Coated Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix that lived his life in the country as an outside dog with little to no socialization.  He is super affectionate but also very sensitive boy.  He is now completely potty trained, crates but doesn't not need to be crated. He is a low energy dog that enjoys naps and loves to cuddle.  He is friendly but would do best in a calmer home with no small children.  He gets along with other dogs but does like all of the attention from his humans.  He does need time to adjust to a new environment and a new family as he is afraid of unfamiliar experiences and noises.  Once he is comfortable with you then you are gold.  He would do really well with a family that has experience with dogs and can understand his insecurities.
