Eccert here.  I am a handsome 4 1/2 year old Flat-Coated Retriever that was rescued after my owner surrendered me to the shelter because they were no longer able to afford to properly care for me.   I am a pretty impressive kinda guy as I know all of my basic commands "sit", "down", "shake"(with both paws), "stay".   I take treats gently and love to do tricks for treats.  I am potty trained and crate trained.   Overall I am a calm dog that just wants to hang out with my people.   I am good with other dogs but need a minute to appropriate get to know them.  I would do great in a home with an easy going submissive kinda playful dog or I would be just fine as an only dog.  I did not show too much interest in cats that were in the cat hotel but my foster mom will check to see how I react to a cat soon.   I will go in a crate but I do best when I am just confined in a small room with a baby gate and they leave music on for me to relax so its not too quiet and I won't get lonely.  I do not do anything wrong when my foster family is gone.  I am now available to begin the search for a family that will love me, work with my shyness and give me a loving inside home.
