Melvin is my new name.  Come to think of it, I don't think I ever had a name until being rescued.  It's pretty nice to know that I am safe with people who care about me.  I am about 1.5yrs old and I think I am a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix with maybe a little of this and a little of that.  One thing my foster says is that I am 100% sweet and smart.  I was rescued as a stray on the streets trying to survive.  I was found with a really bad cut on my eye but its all healed up now.  My foster mom is teaching me all of my basic commands, I am learning to go in my crate and have not had any accidents yet.  I am good with other dogs, cats, chickens, roosters, turkeys etc, etc.  I am finally fully vetted and ready to start my search for the perfect home.  I would do best in a secure fence and an active family.
