My name is Rena aka Momma Rena.  I am a spaniel mix that is about 1.5yrs old and I weigh about 40lbs.   I was rescued from an overcrowded Texas shelter.  I was picked up as a stray on the streets.  I was initially very shy and unsure of my future.  The rescue quickly realized that I may be hiding a secret.  Well, it was true as I gave birth to 5 little ones about a week before my vet appointment to confirm my pregnancy.  I guess those littles wanted a grand entry.  Fast forward 8 weeks and I am much more comfortable with this new life and my babies are almost ready to start their new lives.   I learned that I always have food, a soft bed, kind people and lots of treats.  I have a safe yard to play with the other dogs in but my favorite thing to do is to lounge by the pool.  Life is now good.  I am potty trained, crate trained, good with other dogs and don't seem to mind the cats I have met.  I am still a little bit shy on leas but my foster mom says I am really getting the idea.   The only thing I am missing is a family and home that will adopt me and love me forever.
