My name is Myla and I am a beautiful older purebred English Cream Golden Retriever that was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed.  As it turns out I had a multitude of medical issues that the wonderful veterinary team that works with Allie's Haven Animal Rescue has worked hard to get me healthy and save my life.  I am approximately 8-9 years young but it was originally thought I was much older due to my horrible condition that I was found in.  

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and had thyroid tumor that was cancer.  Thankfully surgery is the cure.  I was just skin and bones, had hair loss and just not doing well.  After months of medications to slow down my thyroid and I was healthy enough I had my most of my thyroid removed.  I had a great recovery and the little bit of my thyroid that is left and healthy is working but I will need a low dose of thyroid medications for the rest of my life.  Good news is that its super inexpensive and I am a good girl with taking my medications.  Next in line was to get my heartworms treated and now that that's all behind me, I am ready to find a loving home which is what I deserve.  

My foster mom says I am fully potty trained, crate trained, great with other dogs and children.  I am great with cats and anything else you may have.  I have such a king and loving temperament and can complete your life.  I enjoy playing fetch and going for walks around the neighborhood.  Did I mention that I am great on leash?   Apply to meet me and you will fall in love instantly.
