Aspen is a pure bred English  Cream  Lab that was surrendered to us by a breeder due to her arthritis.  Along with her perfect disposition, high intelligence, soft mouth, and beaut y  she has some arthritic genetic challenges.  She has a condition that causes her ankles to generate too much calcium  and causes arthritis .  So far it has not slowed her down  much  but she will need to be on medication for the discomfort more and more as she ages.  She has recently undergone surgery on one of her ankles and  it should  give her  many years of increased function.  She will be on restricted activity for a few more weeks as  she  heals  from that procedure .      There are several  other  medical procedures that can help down the road as well if needed .   She is crate trained, house broken, walks well on a leash, never chews up anything,  gets along with kids of all ages, other dogs, and cats.  Staying slim and trim will be important for her  ankles  so she eats a reduced amount of kibble each day.   She   will need a less active  lifestyle  but she does enjoy catching a tennis ball and LOVES the water!  Aspen will always deal with some arthritis but in return for treating her condition the lucky adopter will get the most perfect , loyal   companion  dog in the world!  Aspen is still under two years old and has a long life of giving love to all she meets ahead of her!
