Honeydew was rescued last Summer from the streets of South Texas after giving birth to 6 puppies but sadly only 2 survived. She was another stastitic in Texas. A street dog that has to survive on her own in a cruel world, in a place where people don't care about the animals. We are not sure how she survived 7 years alone and unloved in this world. That was no easy feat for a momma dog that had to find refuge under a broken down van to give birth to her puppies. She was extremely nervous around new people and other dogs but given time and lots of TLC she has come around. She still can be a little nervous when she meets new people but quickly warms up to them. She is fully vetted and doing great in her foster home. She does well with other dogs but prefers dogs with lower energy like her. She is potty trained and puts herself to bed in her crate at night. She would do best in a calmer home with older, mature children. Is this sweet girl the perfect addition to your family?
