My Christmas gift this year was a warm, safe home and becoming an Allie’s Haven dog.

You see, I was a stray in a neighborhood for many days. People tried to catch me, but I was very scared, cold, hungry, and wasn’t sure why people were trying to catch me. One day, a nice man, now my foster dad, got close enough to me to scratch my ears. I was tired of being cold and hungry, so I collapsed in his lap. The nice man and his family foster for Allie’s Haven, so I hit the jackpot! They are showing me that all people aren’t scary, and how wonderful life can be!

My name is Harley. I am about a year old, 62 pounds of happiness, housebroken(I will even ring a bell on the door when I need to go outside), past the puppyhood drama, love, love, love to play with my foster family’s three dogs, love to be a lap dog, and super affectionate(they call me a snuggle bug). I have the perfect amount of energy, playfulness, love to play with toys, but will settle down nicely. I bonded with my foster family very quickly and am proving to be a very loyal friend.

I am so ready to find my forever family. My ideal family would have no cats, can have children, a yard for me to run and play, and a family who will continue to help me learn good doggie manners. I am super smart and learn very quickly. I have learned how to sit, stay, and to go to the door when I need to go outside. I am still working on leash manners. I am very food motivated, so training me is so easy! I will do anything for food!
