Astro was rescued from a dire situation of neglect, where the local sheriff intervened and got him into our foster care. Poor little Astro endured living outside without shelter or fresh water, chained up and suffering from severe skin infections. After a month in our care, his infections have cleared, but he is still undergoing treatment for possible allergies. We're optimistic that with this treatment, his health issues will resolve soon. Despite his challenging past, Astro is an incredibly affectionate boy who loves both dogs and people and is the definition of a velcro dog. If you move, he moves. He adorably expresses his affection by gently hugging with his paws. He is crate-trained and walking well on a leash. Astro is truly the sweetest companion and an instant friend to all he meets.
