Melvin is an adorable almost 1 year old male Lab mix.  He is potty trained, crate trained and is good with other dogs.  Melvin was found on the side of a busy road along with his sister and had been hit by a car.  His sister was healthy and adopted by the shelter.  Melvin was put on the euthanasia list due to his injuries.  We rescued him and treated his injuries which included a fractured femur.  He had surgery to repair his leg and is now 6 weeks post operative and doing great.  He will continue to recovery and may have a slight limp in his gait but he will not get hip dysplasia in that leg.  He has a great prognosis and is ready to start his search to find his forever home.  To adopt Melvin please complete our adoption application at www.allieshaven.org
